It is so important in those early stages of grief to make sure that you get the ceremony that is right for you, and that is a true reflection of the person who has died. I work closely with family and friends, incorporating their memories into a unique, highly personal ceremony that acknowledges their loss but equally celebrates life. We will meet together to go through your ideas for readings, music and tributes and I will then produce a draft for you which we can refine until you are 100% happy with it. After the ceremony I provide a presentation copy of the ceremony for you to keep. I also work with your chosen funeral director to ensure the day runs smoothly.
You might also want to hold a longer memorial service at a later date. As with funeral ceremonies, I will work closely with you to create a truly unique occasion that celebrates the person who has died. I can also help by liaising with your chosen venue on the logistics of your ceremony (such as technical or audio visual support).
Fee: between £250 and £350, depending on requirements
You may have chosen not to have a funeral but opt for a simple scattering of your loved one's ashes in a place that is significant to them and you. Together we will craft a simple, beautiful ceremony that marks this important occasion.
I can also help you design an order of ceremony, as well as arranging for this to be printed and collected, or scan your photos to produce a slideshow that can be shown during the ceremony or memorial service.
Fee: on request
It's often hard to find the right words to pay tribute to someone you love, especially when you are newly bereaved. I will work with you, sitting and listening to your memories of the person who has died. Using your thoughts, I will put together a a tribute or eulogy that you will feel confident in delivering on the day of the ceremony.
